Since the 2016 vintage Damien and his sister Caroline have been the proprietors. The reds here are often overlooked but very fine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTerroir:\u003c\/strong\u003e Santenay closes the Côte de Beaune between Chassagne-Montrachet and the Maranges, on grey limestone at altitude and oolitic limestone over marl lower down, 300–500m. Pinot Noir expresses itself generously in 2023, with real ageing potential.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTasting:\u003c\/strong\u003e Bright ruby. Strawberry, cherry and violet in youth, moving to undergrowth and dried tobacco with age, with firm tannins and a refined finish. Serve 58–60°F; decant 30 minutes.
