Recently elevated to the rank of “cru du Languedoc-Roussillon”, the stunning and remote Terrasses du Larzac AOC is the gateway to France's Massif Central. These high foothills run hot during summer afternoons, but diurnal swings can be dramatic, earning the sub-region its reputation for combining generous fruit with a sub-alpine freshness and sophistication. Here, round cherry and bramble are joined by black olive and fresh herbs on the nose, followed by a rustic, unctuous palate. Organically farmed but not certified.
