Villa Gemma Montepuliciano D'Abruzzo Riserva 2011
Winemaker Notes
A deep ruby red with purple reflections, with bouquets of intense and persistent ripe red fruits on the nose. Spices, black pepper, cocoa, licorice and dried fruits on the palate.

Wine Enthusiast
A wealth of ripe cherry, clove, toast and tobacco carries to the linear, focused palate. While this wine is held together by bracing acidity and a firm grip of tannins, there's enough fruit to broaden out the midpalate and carry to the lingering cherry-skin and spice finish. Drink from 2020 for things to soften a bit.
