2020 Seven Hills Block 3 Cabernet
Sauvignon, then you already know the
heart of this wine. Block 3, planted to
Clone 6, embodies our fervent goal:
intensity sculpted by elegance. But only
34% of the wine is Cabernet Sauvignon;
60% of it is Merlot from another block we
favor, and it’s definitely more about charm
than power. 2% of the wine is Petit
Verdot, and that’s usually more than
enough to provide the bass note that
underpins our Seven Hills Vineyard blend.
This time there is only 4% or so of
Cabernet Franc; there just wasn’t any to
go around
