Etienne Bécheras farms his 12-hectare domaine organically in Arras, a village overlooking the Rhône. The 2023 Crozes-Hermitage delivers classic Northern Rhône savory character: three-day cold maceration, full destemming, three to four weeks of spontaneous fermentation, then maturation in used oak with no fining or filtration. The result is a voluminous, spice-driven Syrah with dark fruit core, lavender and purple flower aromatics, meaty undertones, and firm tannin structure. Compelling value from an organic producer.
