From the renowned Leflaive family of Puligny-Montrachet, Esprit Leflaive was created to explore exceptional Burgundy terroirs beyond the domaine’s traditional home in the Côte de Beaune. This Premier Cru comes from Les Jarrons, a little-known vineyard in Savigny-lès-Beaune planted in 1940 on limestone and sandy soils.

The 2020 vintage was warm and dry, producing beautifully concentrated fruit with remarkable freshness. The wine is intense and structured, offering layers of dark fruit, licorice, and fine oak. Powerful and dense without feeling heavy, it balances its depth with finesse and a polished, lingering finish.

Hand-harvested and partially whole-bunch fermented, the wine spent 15 months in oak barrels, 25% new, followed by three months in stainless steel. A compelling example of Premier Cru Savigny-lès-Beaune that proves this appellation can deliver far more than rusticity.
