Passerelles Cremant De Loire
Chenin-led traditional-method sparkling from the Jackson Family's Loire project — the first sparkling wine in the range.
Winemaking: A blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Chardonnay at 11.5% ABV, made by the traditional method with second fermentation in bottle. Consulting winemaker Marcia Torres-Forno. Debut bottling is the 2024 vintage, 500 cases produced. The season brought above-average rainfall and frost; a late, cool harvest gave smaller yields with fruit that held excellent acidity and concentration.
Tasting: Green apple, quince and lemon from the Chenin, with Chardonnay softening the mid-palate. Fine mousse, dry and taut, with a chalky, citrus-pith finish. Serve 45–48°F in a white wine glass.
Pairs with: Oysters, goat cheese, fried chicken, smoked salmon, or on its own as an apéritif.
