This multi-clonal selection of pinot noir came from Mike Etzel’s home vineyard, Sequitur, located at 425 feet elevation on a southeast slope of the Ribbon Ridge AVA.

2021 Started with lower-than-average rainfall and an early spring that led into a warm growing season with low yields. Perfectly ripe, concentrated fruit was harvested on September 13th.

A single fermenter with partial whole cluster took 17 days to ferment and was aged in French oak for 11 months. It was then gently moved to bottle, unfined and unfiltered.

The finished wine shows ripe plum, five spice, and cocoa tannins-all classic to the Ribbon Ridge.
