Champagne Louise Brison "À l'Aube de la Côte des Bar" 2020
Tasting notes
- Colour: brilliant straw yellow with a light copper tinge and a fine perlage
- Nose: orchard and ripe citrus fruits with candied ginger and white flowers, plus lemon preserve and almond
- Palate: an elegant attack, ripe white fleshed fruit, citrus freshness, red berries and fine pastry notes. French tasters on the 2020 found wild red fruit, a velvety mid palate and a tighter, more linear finish.
- Character: lively acidity, fine perlage and a minerality that keeps each sip interesting
- Structure: precise, medium bodied and unassuming
- Drink: now through 2032
- Serve: 48 to 52°F in a white wine glass, not a flute. Barrel ferment and five years of lees need air.
