Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2022
Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2022
One of France's most celebrated wines, prized for its elegance, balance, and remarkable ageing potential. Grown on an exceptional terroir at the northern edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, farmed organically since the 1960s using all thirteen authorized grape varieties.
The 2022 Vintage
A mild, dry winter and spring—among the driest on record—kept the vines exceptionally healthy. Timely mid-August rains slowed ripening, and harvest began 19 August in excellent conditions. The reds were gently vinified with delicate extraction, producing a beautifully balanced, aromatically complex wine.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant deep red with carmine undertones. A powerful, complex nose of very ripe red fruit layered with chocolate, tobacco, and undergrowth. The palate is generous and silky, opening soft and round before revealing an elegant, harmonious tannic structure—a refined wine of great maturity.
