Grown in the vineyards that ring the beautiful Château de Thauvenay, just steps from the Loire Canal, this is Sancerre in its most generous form. The chalky, clay-limestone marl here dates back to the Kimmeridgian period — soils that give the wine its signature roundness and weight while cool cellar work keeps every aromatic detail intact.

Grapes are harvested by hand and machine, gently pressed in pneumatic presses only, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve the fine, expressive character of Sauvignon Blanc. Bottling takes place the June following harvest.

Tasting Note

Pale yellow in the glass. An expressive nose of pineapple, passion fruit and bright citrus leads to a well-balanced, structured palate with brilliant freshness.

Food Pairing

Scallops, lobster, grilled fish and white meats.

The Vintage

A warm, dry summer in the Central Loire followed by timely September rain brought the fruit to full ripeness at textbook alcohol levels.

The Estate

The Hubert Brochard vineyard spans 93 hectares — 83 in Sancerre (including 10 of Pinot Noir), 5 in Pouilly-Fumé and 5 in IGP — highly fragmented across the villages of Chavignol, Sancerre, Amigny, Sainte-Gemme, Ménétréol, Saint-Satur, Thauvenay and Vinon. Powerful erosion has created a mosaic of soils: chalk, caillottes and flint. Vines average 30 years of age, and the estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) for sustainable farming.
