A French panel tasting the 2010 found a nose that is fruity, well built and elegant, with crushed cassis, blackberry, small notes of wood, garrigue, thyme, violet, sweet spice and sweet tobacco, over a palate that is fruity, fresh, mineral and well balanced, with good structure, tension, roundness and ripe, crunchy fruit.

The winery's own profile for the cuvée: intense ruby red, spicy aromas with earthy, mineral and tobacco notes alongside wild berry, and a palate with the intense tannins needed to age.
