Victorino is produced by the Eguren family (of Sierra Cantabria fame) at their Toro estate, Teso La Monja. Made from old-vine Tinta de Toro (a Tempranillo clone) grown on sandy and clay soils, the 2020 vintage was hand-harvested, fermented in small tanks, and aged 18 months in new French oak barrels. Dense blackberry, blueberry, violets, dark chocolate, and graphite ride on powerful tannins and vibrant freshness. This wine is both hedonistic and structured, with the ability to cellar for 15–20 years. Pair with roast lamb, venison, or braised short ribs. ABV ~15%.
